Third Mole
MVP
Member Posts: 23,453 ✭✭✭
Moles attacked me hard already this winter so I had to fight back.
3 down already...
I am patiently waiting for #4,#5,#6 or however many want to hang out in my yard.
I usually set the trap until they quit digging, whether by their choice or otherwise.

Of course, your grass dies, and your backyard smells like a port-a-pot, hey, but no moles....[xx(]

That may be why I have no moles. I sprinkle the lawn regularly. [;)]

I already urinate in my backyard and they dont seem to mind.[:o)]
Can you skin it and do something with the pelt? Their fur is very soft.
Hikers like the fur for the blisters they get on their feet while on hiking trips.

Same here, and I still get them from time to time.[8D]
With this trap I just use a clam shovel to dig down where they have made a mole hill and find their tunnel on both sides of the hole.
The hole needs to be the same size as the trap and then I just set it up where the body grippers are right inside of the tunnel openings.
I always push a little dirt into the tunnels so the mole starts pushing the dirt out and when he gets enough dirt under the trap the dirt triggers it.
Its a real easy set once you know how.
After it is set I place a 5 gallon bucket upside down over it all to keep it dark in his hole.
Moleskin?!
LOL[:D]
This one was a little fatter
thinned out. It's fun to watch them work. They'll get one at each end
of the tunnel, bark and dig until they get one.[:)]
always thought fur would make the best ear muffs ..............only need 2 moles
My labs have been running around the yard tossing them in the air and generally having a great time with them. They play with a dead mole better than any toy i have come up with.
I ain't sure which is worse, the moles or my Spins.
I bought a house that had some acreage and the first thing I did was that was...It took like 10 hours to fill all the tunnels in the neighborhood. But we didn't have a mole problem after that.
My neighbor said he had lived there for 15 years, and no matter what he, or anyone else had done, they couldn't get ride of them because there was such a huge infestation
I lived there for about 10 years, and they never returned
