Went to the flea market today. First time I've been in a while. Guns all over the place. All priced like they were new in box. But most not even close. I looked at a Ruger GP100. Priced at 450 firm. Yes it was firm. Finish looked like it had been gone over with 60 grit sandpaper. Mohawk 10c that had been used and abused for 250. It had all kinds of rust on the barrel and receiver. I never seem to run across these good deals that you hear about. I did'nt see anyone buying. But you never know. Maybe I'm just cheap...

Nicest gun I ran across was a colt anaconda with the long barrel (8 inches I think). They wanted a grand for it. Said he would take 950. But thats no deal.

I used to stop at some flea markets when I was OTR. Also noted that guns were HIGH in that area of the country. But I found some good deals in other area's.
Even tho it was highly ilegal, there were times that after 2-3 weeks out, having criss crossed the country, I arrived home w/3-4 guns in the truck.
Bought alot of military relics too. Made some BIG $$ reselling them on eBay.

They are priced so high at flea markets because they are stolen, and because the seller will sell to anyone with the money.

sometimes you have to haggle if you see one you really like. But don't start the process unless you have the cash on hand.
