Ebay is hosting a Town Hall Mtg on May 18th with Paypal President Jeff Jordan. This is our chance to grill him about his anti-american no firearms policy...

...I dropped my account with paypal, as quite a few others did several years ago after their adoption of their current "no gun" policy; unless there is a change...I will not deal with them...[;)]
Ebay and Paypal are businesses, just like any other. 7-11 doesn't sell guns, are we going to force them to? It's their business, and they do business their way, dealing in the products they wish to deal in, and there are plenty of other businesses dealing in firearms that if Ebay and Paypal don't there are plenty that do, so why not patronize them instead of making other businesses deal in products they do not wish to deal in.
This is a free-market economy, not some socialist/fascist society. Forcing private businesses to submit to governmental will is communism.
badwrench your right its there choice but paypal is a paysite kinda like a bank
what if all banks would not loan money for gun related items
i know a lot of folks that get loans to buy high end firearms and have to get loans to do so he;; iv even barrowed money to buy when i ran across a good deal on a lot of guns from one seller.
ebay i can understand besides they do sell gun related but i dont see paypals point of view.

And that is a far cry from actually changing policy.
Do you think the man is inherintly Evil or something. that he can not be brought to reason?
I think they have made it very clear that they don't want to be "in the gun business". That is certainly their perogative, it's their company. My guess is, no matter what you say to them won't effect a change in company policy. Think Kalifornia[:p]
Message: Hi,
I was wondering if the NRA has ever considered developing a payment
site similar to PAYPAL that is friendly to the gun industry. We have
been shunned by PAYPAL at every turn at sites like Gunbroker.com,
{elsewhere} and {elsewhere}.com just to name a few. It truly would be a
service beneficial to all firearms enthusiests and the NRA especially.
Many thanks for what the NRA has done in the past and the future to
come.
Best Regards,
Brent Ramsey

Its not that they dont want to be in the gun business they dont want anything to do with it ,just my 2 cents. does it make them a gun dealer to handle the transfer. of the funds that are paying for the firearm. so they are not in the gun business but in the money business

(Tazzer, I must say I agree with badwrench. If banks stopped allowing you to write checks to pay for guns or ammo, would you sign internet petitions to get them to change? Whizzing in the wind.)
If I thought it wowuld do any good I would [:D][:D] but banks are in business to make money off of those loans so they look at more of what the customer wants.
But you are both right it is a business choice sop if they want to lose money so be it.[;)][:D][:D]
Thats a huge NEED if there ever was one. Like the kid's say "DUH!"

I think Paypal and fleabay are making enough $ as it is and are pretty stern about their firearms policies. I seriously doubt they'll change no matter how many people complain.
I agree with you, but I was reading the link above and it said you can post a question to that town hall meating. However it goes on to say that ALL questions will be reviewed by e-puke. democratic process my *.[:(!]
This means that any pro-gun questions or websites confirming the evils of pay-puke will go unanswered.[:0]
My pay pal account was frozen for using my money in a firearm purchase. I am an FFL holder and 99% of my business is firearms. I obey all laws and want to know why pay pal feels they have the "right" to restrict U.S. currency?
I wanted them to realize that if I have money tied up in their system...it doesn't mean that they can change the laws. This is U.S. currency related....so, why do they get to limit what I can buy...if it is legal...right?
Send a money order, no big deal.

Got Guns?
I like PayPals "no gun" policy. Just another reason to hate that suckass place.
