Prank calls at 3.30 A.M.

Early this morning someone called the house three times within ten minutes. Nothing like being woke by the phone at that hour. All kinds of things going thru your head as you reach for the phone. Just a little while ago a kid calls me and says he was involved in a prank call last night and would like to apologize. His voice quivering and not sounding in very high spirits. I'm assuming there was an angry parent standing next to him. I'm hoping there was also a busted * involved. But the apology was nice....I was getting up in an hour and a half anyway....

    Yeah, that took me by surprise a little. A good lesson for the little tike. Oh well, no harm done. Kinda makes for a neat story. I just wish you could have heard his voice. Boy he was shaky.

    It's nice that he apologized. Now get his number off of caller ID or *69 it, and write it on a bathroom wall in some sleezy bar preceded by "for a good time call". [:D]

    Had a young "lady" call our house and leave a rather detailed message "From the Doctor's Office", detailing how we had been scheduled for fertility treatments and counselling, and including lond and detailed "how to" information....the thing is, we have caller ID. Called the Local Police station, and filed the case, getting Officer's name and case Number. Then called in the evening, and left a message at the caller's number, complete with case number and contact info.

    Got a return call from parents, and then got a personal call of apology, and a written apology.

    Was actually kinda funny to respond to. I am sure the little 13 or 14 year old girl will give a little more thought to the process before she does it again. Too bad the other girl we heard in the message couldn't get her feathers trimmed too.

    Maybe, the apology was the prank?

    a lot of people aren't thinking clearly in those early hours and could be tricked into giving up all sorts of info....
