    Unless it was intentional, the water temp is not a problem. He could still stay alive for quite awhile, but in rough water, he'd be very difficult to spot from the air. Long pants or a shirt can be made into a floatation device too.

    helm, all stop. begin grid pattern alpha.
    lookout, are there markers in the water?
    any threats on radar?
    sonar, are we being tracked?
    pass the word, hold all trash on board.

    You don't HAVE to be drunk to fall overboard, but it helps!

    Most of the ones that do 'fall' overboard have been drinking and doing something stupid to contribute to their downfall.
