All of the photos were very interesting. Is the Cumberland Brewery still up and running? I wonder how many of the industrial sites shown in those photos are still operating?
neither brewery, the export or the german is in operation. they ceased in the early 70s. there is however still part of the old german building standing
industrial sites operating, none.
cumberland md. was called the queen city for a reason. at one time it was second to baltimore for industry.
now as you look down baltimore st., it reaps of empty buildings. a dollar store here and there[:(]

Cumberland Maryland Is that the city that interstate 68 goes through with a 35 MPH speed limit [?] I was on my way to Camp Perry one year to avoid PA. turnpike construction was going down a long winding grade with four others letting me run Point. I might have been running slightly over the speed limit[:I]came around a hair pin with 4 State troupers one taking pictures 50 ft out of their sight was an interstate exit Thank goodness for my brakes tires and traction control I got off but four cars behind me did not they got tickets I was really dreading mine arriving in the mail [:(] Then I remembered NEW car no front lic. Plate [;)] . learned my lesson Radar detectors . don"t work against camera'[:p]
