bet the remaining natives/tribes/indians are getting a laugh out of watching the white race gradually destroy itself by unlimited entry into America by hispanic, blacks, mid eastern types...payback for several hundred years of getting marginalized and decimated

Just like the progliblefties, Indians have small bands of "antifa" malcontents that scrutinize everything that "Whitey" did, does, or plans on doing, and gathers their erstwhile supporters to drink, dance, and * about things.
When provided cash to finance a gathering of the"minds", progliblefty weenies always show up to help stir resentment amongst the otherwise downtrodden.
Indians are no more "special" or "gifted" than any other bunch of folks, but because they were acceded as wards of the goobermint on Tribal lands (that Goobermint decided to give the proud, sovereign nations), progliblefties think that they are the original oppressed people.
Of the 27 disparate bands, tribes, offshoots & sects of Indians in nM; only the Laguna have pulled themselves out of the usual abject poverty and dismal living conditions by contracting their well-educated and motivated skills to Goobermint, and fulfilled a multi-million dollar contract for communication trailers for the Army.

Literally across the freeway are the Acoma band of Laguna Indians, who have relished the largesse of Goobermint, yet have exactly ZERO to show for it. They can't agree long enough to get a casino to support their lazy, aging population; seems a lack of motivation is key.

Now, some Indian activists (think: Russell Means, Leonard Peltier, AIM, etc.) have raised a stink about some supposed slight by the Cleveland Indians' caricature mascot, and threatened not to pay to go watch baseball.
Corporate weenies always bend to the whims of change, and instead of the globally-recognized Chief Wahoo or whoever; they have bent over and showed their * to anyone still supporting baseball.
Prolly why I quit watching after that strike for higher wages in the 80s.

They should've just opened an Indian Casino in Cleveland.

I suppose if they did they'd try to shut it down because gambling's bad. Keeping the natives down in third world condition's okay. But having a "mascot" is insensitive.

Old Frank had a way with words.

    Imagine writing this today[;)]

The proud spirit of the original owners of these vast prairies inherited through centuries of fierce and bloody wars for their possession, lingered last in the bosom of Sitting Bull. With his fall the nobility of the Redskin is extinguished, and what few are left are a pack of whining curs who lick the hand that smites them. The Whites, by law of conquest, by justice of civilization, are masters of the American continent, and the best safety of the frontier settlements will be secured by the total annihilation of the few remaining Indians. Why not annihilation? Their glory has fled, their spirit broken, their manhood effaced; better that they die than live the miserable wretches that they are.

Today people would call this guy a raycist but they are wrong these are the words of a real man IMO.

Interesting how political correctness has run wild today. Native Americans have gotten a raw deal. The past is the past and now its time to move forward let the Indians run thier own destiny.

My son and his family live in SW Colorado and his 3 kids auditioned for extras in that movie. They didn't know if they made the cut until last week when they got to go to the movie premier in Pagosa Springs. The two boys made it, but the granddaughter hasn't been spotted yet. When the dvd comes out, it will be closer scrutinized. I haven't seen it yet, but will shortly.

Jollywood refers to the American Indian as savages, redskins, hostiles, etc.

The celebrated author L. Frank Baum of "The Wizard of Oz" advocated the extermination of the American Indian.

The 2018 budget for the Bureau of Indian Affairs is $2.5 billion.

    Russel Means is dead.

Leonard Peltier is in the pen serving two life sentences.

One of the biggest mistakes the U.S. Government ever made was making the American Indian a "ward of the government."

Baum would have fit right in with Lincoln and his abolitionist or the Commiewood Communists either one. Bank on it.
    What's next?

Yep, a very poor excuse to post ugly racist claptrap.

you people are generalizing about American Indians which proves how little you know about the different tribes. Some of them did have the same god as you believe in. They are as much different as anybody in existence. My sister in law is full blooded Sioux. She had 4 children. Three of them are doctors or attorneys. She was director of minority studies at the University of Washington. Also she worked for the governor of south Dakota. One of her brothers was killed while working a a drug enforcement officer in Portland Oregon. I have studied western American Indian culture for many years. Like white men some are bad many are good. Wise up some of you sound pretty stupid.
