Anyone have any first hand experience with this breed?
We are considering a puppy this time since our brief experience with an older rescue dog.

SHe's still a pup in her head but big, gangly and a total love-bug.
She has been heavily exposed to people and other dogs at the beach, her entire life...
Treated with play, love and gentle corrections, they are as loveable and gentle as any other breed treated with the same..

Used to have a dobie.
We've had a few terriers.
Terriers are about as easy to train as a brick. In my experience.
Is the German Pinscher kind of like a small dobie??
I'm suspicious I'm going to wind up with a poodle if I can't find an alternative.

You obviously have never owned a Min Schnauzer---very intelligent.

I have no personal experience w/ the German Pincher, but have had several Dobermans.
A couple of years ago, I was looking for a dog but thought something smaller than a dobie would be nice. I ended up do a lot of research on German Pinchers.
Basically, the answer is no.
