It will leave you with image tags... Insert the url of the image between these tags
When you get on Photobucket, and name an album, click on that album and then click on browse.
When the browsing window opens, if "My Pictures" is not in the location field at the top of the window, double-click it on the tree in the large field and it will show up in the title field.
If the picture you want is in a folder in "My Pictures", then you have to double-click the proper folder and put it in the title bar.
When you find the picture you wish to submit, click it to select it,
then in the "type of file" field, click images, pictures JPG etc, (the second of three options). Then click "open". The browse window closes and then you click "submit" and wait untill the image completely loads. When it has loaded, it will show up in the thumbnail field below the album title. Scroll down until you can see the three fields under the thumbnail of the image.
Right click on the third field and when the options menu displays, click on "select all". When the third field turns blue (highlites),
right click on it again and select "copy".
Minimize the Photobucket page, maximize your GB Forum page, and right click in the signature field, and select "paste".
If the picture is too large, maximize the photobucket page again and select "edit" over the thumbnail. A new page appears with options. Select 25%, 50%, or 75% and then select "resize" Minimize your photobucket page and return to the GB Forum preview. If your picture has not resized in the signature field, refresh it, and it will.
If you have a photo editing program such as MS Picture It Publishing 9, you can size your images by opening them in Picture It and selecting the resize option on the left menu bar. If your display setting for your computer is 1024 x 768 pixcells, a good size for
forum posted images is 600 to 700 pixcells and a resolution of 70 or so. After editing a photo in Picture It, click the file menu and click "Save as". In the Save as dialogue box, in the "file type" field always select the jpg option and click save. If you follow this sizing and typing advice, your images will already be the proper size before you ever get to the Photobucket page.
Other imaging programs have similar options as Picture It.
It helps to print these instructions and reference them as you go.
After you do it a few times, it becomes easy, and you'll be posting in a flash.

To post a picture on GunBroker Forums:
First you will need a host for the picture you want to post. It appears the most popular around here are www.photobucket.com and www.tinypic.com. Both have free accounts.
If you open a photobucket account, after you upload your picture, you will see a thumbnail of your picture with three lines under it. The lines will be labeled URL, TAG and IMG. The IMG line is the one you want. When you left click on the IMG line it will highlight that line. At the top of the screen left click on EDIT and then click COPY. Now you can close out of photobucket.
Go to your "Reply to Topic" window in GunBroker. Left click in the window to make sure you have a cursor. Left click on EDIT at the top of the screen and then click PASTE.
Under the "Reply to Topic" window, click on preview. You should see a picture. If not something went wrong. Try it again.
If you open a tinypic account, it is similar to photobucket, but it doesn't show a thumbnail. I prefer photobucket.
Hope this is helpful.
