My Mom and i both get vertigo pretty bad. When i got my knees replaced in December last year the PT lady and i were talking and somehow vertigo came up and she told me there is a way for them to make it go away.

Most of the time it will not come back.

Everybody has these rocks or stones in their head and sometimes they move to where they should not be and that causes vertigo.

A person who is a good physical therapist can manipulate your head and get everything back to where they should be.

I had an inner ear infection a few years back that did that.
    It lasted about a week.

It comes and goes for me, not related to anything. Positional vertigo so I'm told an exercise on the internet called Epply manuever may help

I get it due to some of the medications that I take. Check with your Doctor. Could be serious or could be nothing. The reason I say this is because my aunt had vertigo real bad. Turned out to be a tumour in her brain. It killed her.

I had something similar at the outdoor range. I was paying for the time and had to take my ears out so I can hear the dude. Then a gun shot stuns me for a second like getting hit in the head. Then another, and another until I got far enough away. Now that was odd.

Hope that it isn't menieres disease.
My cousins husband had to be rendered deaf in one ear because of this.

He started out like you, and then couldn't stand without throwing up.
Finally decided to lose the hearing in that ear, and has been OK since.

If this sticks around for more than a few days,......go see an ENT.

Years ago, I wound up in the er after I couldn't move my head without everything spinning and becoming violently ill. Doc said most folks have vertigo at least once, and it is viral. Wore a patch behind my ear and took Antivert for awhile.

    Ear infection.
Excessive ear wax. Have your ears checked by a doc.
    Good luck.

Could be theres some kind of crystals in your inner ear that get out of wack..me and my mother in law had them..theres a routine that our rehab people used to put them back in the right place, laying you up and down with your head in different locations a few time useally does it...sounds strange but its true.

I had a very severe case of vertigo in 2010 due to a physical problem in my inner ear. It had me on my back for a week (literally), and any time I moved my head, I vomited.

Firstly My apologies for such a late response.Secondly thank You folks for all Your input on this. Its been a strange three weeks.Ive been feeling spaced out and this virus has made Me feel ill while even watching television also made Me feel motion sick in a friends new car[:0] and also even looking at the computer screen. The doctor diagnosed Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo and gave Me pills which have eased it.Im just wondering how much longer it will last.If it hasnt cleared up in a week the Doctor will juggle My head about (as was mentioned by a GB member) and see if He can clear any thing.

    Antivert

Only once in my life I had an inner ear infection. That's what I was prescribed. Did the job. It's an awful feeling. I couldn't stand up and had to be driven to the doctor. It causes a complete loss of balance.
