Happy Grandparents Day.I hope you got to spend some of it with your grandkids. I was lucky enough to eat breakfast and go out shooting with my grandkids this morning for Grandparent's Day. Carry on you old farts

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!
Our first grandbaby is trying his best to talk.....three months old and just looks so serious while he is just going on and on about his tales.
Its SO much fun.
I didn't know that was today. I would have run over to see my little guy today if I had known just so I could make sure my daughter knew today was "MY" day. [:D][:D][:D]

Sorry Kassey, when I said "Carry On You old farts", I didn't mean you...
But you might want to mark your calendar for next year, Grandparents day is September 8th next year...
I rubbed it in my son's faces for forgetting Grandparents Day. This is the text that I sent them...
"Happy Grandparents Day to me, happy Grandparents Day to me, it's a crying shame that nobody remembered it but me, happy Grandparents Day to me... A song I sang to myself to the tune of happy birthday to me. Because nobody remembered its Grandparents Day today...;-) ;-) ;-)"[:D][:D][:D]
And yes I do pick on everybody, even my own kids[^][^][^]
I don't know but just never got into the grand kid thing like some people do ... and for some it's all they talk/brag about.
Grandkids, have 9 but haven't seen any in 6+ years as some live over 1,000 miles away. Of the 5 or ? great grandkids, saw two of them once.
The younger generations don't call and don't write, everything is done by smart phone text and/or face brag.
I don't do either and life goes on.[:)]
Having had just sons and no daughters, I also can relate to not seeing (or hearing from) our grand kids very often.
My wife taught me one of her many rhymes " A son is a son until he takes a wife" " A daughter is a daughter for the rest of her life"
Sadly, ^^^ this has been a proven reality in our life anyway.
I can also attest to the fact that for us, the daughter in laws parents get 99% of all the attention from the grandkids.
Wife sends money and cards out to grands for every birthday and holiday. I have to look at my monthly bank statements to see if the checks were cashed\received!! Never a call or a thank you. [V]
