Why wouldn't you just do it? Who would you have to get it approved by? (Assuming the truck and trailer are owned by the driver)

Just FYI I have never been in the big rig business so I am probably very ignorant of the rules and regulations regarding them.

Those doors get a lot of abuse.

I've been retired a while but I don't remember any state that didn't have in motor vehicle law that no white light could be projected from the rear of a vehicle in forward motion.
There are also laws about TV screens being in a position to be viewed by a driver.
Add to that all the Federal regulations about lighting allowed on commercial vehicles.
After some thought I can't remember the last time I was on a two lane road with a TT&ST in front of me. But I'm sure all experiences are different.
