Steve is a very close personal friend of mine. Steve is an incredible harness and saddle maker. He is good enough that various museums have had him do restoration work on McClellan saddles and ladies side saddles.

Last time I talked to Steve, he told me that Ross started tooling leather back in the late fifties or early sixties. Steve said nobody is better, at least in this country.
Steve has unique ways of putting things. Steve whipped a new one on me the other day. He said tooling leather is like milking cows and kissing girls. The more you do it the better you get at it![:D]
