A while back you mentioned getting a leather belt tooled with the GB logo. Got two names for you.

Ron Ross, 6415 St. Rt. 1, St. Joe, In.
260-337-5607
rosaddlery.com

Ron Ross is GOOD. Might be the best in the country.

Steve Young, 731 Downing RD., Stockport, Ohio
740-557-3064

Steve is a very close personal friend of mine. Steve is an incredible harness and saddle maker. He is good enough that various museums have had him do restoration work on McClellan saddles and ladies side saddles.

These two men are two of the best. If you have anything made be sure to post pics!!

Thanks, I'll look into it. Good friend of mine at SHOT was showing me some work a friend of his had done. He was planning on having her make the rigs for the Guns we are auctioning off for the Industry Masters. I should be getting some advance pictures of them soon.

OK, that's another Ron Ross. My daughter has been in Ross' shop and I think she told me he was tooling some shotgun cases for Browning but I could be wrong on that.

Last time I talked to Steve, he told me that Ross started tooling leather back in the late fifties or early sixties. Steve said nobody is better, at least in this country.

Steve has unique ways of putting things. Steve whipped a new one on me the other day. He said tooling leather is like milking cows and kissing girls. The more you do it the better you get at it![:D]
