I think I see what the deal is here. The reason we have so many PhDs is the test was designed for young folks who had to learn and remember this stuff. Most of you old farts lived through it and all you had to do was remember it.

I've got a nephew in High school who got a C in history. I told him I got A's in History. Without hesitation, he looked at me and said "there was a lot less history then". [B)]

Are they gong to send me a diploma? Yeah, I got PHD, to. What a crock. Except for a few random college classes, I barely got out of high school. the rest I learned form the school of hard knocks.

    WOW!! Yesterday I couldn't spell PHD,today I are one.

    I are two! [:D]

    So be me!!

    HS Diploma/ BBA Finance&Accounting/ MBA

Although I will say, the worst investment/waste of money I ever made was getting my MBA. That includes the snake oil I bought, at least I got drunk from that instead of less money and more gray hair

I'm starting to think education is overrated. I'm a high school drop out with a tenth grade education but I have documentation to prove I graduated from Mohegan Community College with an AS degree.

When I joined the Navy I spent my last ten dollars on a GED test. My recruiter convinced me that was the thing to do. That made me an instant high school graduate.

When I was a Chief Petty Officer I learned my chances with the Senior Chief selection board would be vastly improved if I had an AS degree. Mohegan Community College gave me credit for a little over half of an AS for my work and life experience. I took a few CLEP tests to make up the difference. I paid all the fees and tuition and became an instant Community College graduate. I even paid the extra couple bucks for the mortar board tassel. I've never set foot in Mohegan Community College.

In the mean time, before the Senior Chief board met I got the word I was selected for Chief Warrant Officer Two. I had no guarantee I'd be selected for Senior Chief so I figured a bird in the hand. I accepted the commission and the command pulled my recommendation for Senior Chief.

On the bright side, I'm a lot more educated than I used to was.

Some years ago, had some nice neighbors across the road. She didn't work, all he did was go to school. I don't know how many degrees he had. He was at Duke at this time. Wealthy parents, from up north, both of them. Really nice couple. He was about 30 at the time. Of common knowledge, he had none. I helped them a lot with simple things. They had a kid while they lived here. Finally he was offered a professorship at Wake Forest. He was really thrilled to finally have his first job. I had to give him detailed instructions on how to get to Winston Salem. Don't know where they are now. But he's probably teaching your children someplace. Nice sweet Democrats still I am sure. But we loved them anyway.[8D]
