I love Nascar, but now that they have taken away the southern heritage and disrespected it's fan base, I refuse to watch it anymore. Hope they fall flat on their face. Dem Der rednecks built and supported Nascar, when no one else did. I am on Pause with them and support my southern brothers. oakie
The folks at NASCAR have been attempting to lure fans from outside of their traditional base for years, without any regards to the traditions that built the sport. They caved to the early wave of Political Correctness when they dropped Darlington's "Rebel" race moniker after 1982. They adopted their own brand of affirmative action via the "Drive for Diversity"; propping up non-deserving minority car owners and drivers. NASCAR hosted Michelle Obama at the Homestead race in 2011. They inducted also-ran Wendell Scott into their Hall of Fame before a long list of more deserving drivers. NASCAR has adopted a policy of continuously shoving minority celebrities and entertainers down the throats of racing fans in an attempt to draw more urban interest. ...and now they are requesting that their core fan base politely leave their Southern Pride and Heritage at the gate prior to entering the track. Before you know it, they'll allow some of them there Jap cars to win NASCAR races too!

Some can only be seat-sniffing, memorabilia purchasing, self-proclaimed racing expert sycophants. I'd rather be wrenching on a car at any short track on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday night than watching TV and drooling in a cup while you stroke your Earnhardt Jr. man-crush. The closest you've come to being actually involved with a racing team is owning some Chinese made die-cast Matchbox cars.

If short-track racers are L.L., then that makes you the T-Ball "Outlaw". Have fun with that plastic-bumpered trailer-park hot wheels car, a true classic! That car has found an adequate home, being driven 37mph in a 35mph zone by an Earnhardt stalker. How do the seats smell? Maybe one of them "Drive for Diversity" NASCAR Confederate Flag haters will sign your car for you. If it takes involvement from the likes of Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson to make NASCAR the "Big Time", I'm sure most will be more than satisfied to continue to support L.L. More interested in F1 anyway. They can make whatever they want of samecar racing. It's not the stock car racing I grew up with and won't ever be again. Never was the same to me when that changed anyhow. Maybe they can get those tennis playing Williams guys girls driving and increase their fan base.
