quote:EUGENE, Ore. - A scary situation for a plow truck driver Sunday after his plow tipped over on I-105. ODOT said one of its plow truck drivers was plowing some slush from westbound 105 near the Delta Highway exit during the afternoon when he hit bare pavement. It caused his truck to flip over.
Both of the westbound lanes and one eastbound lane were shut down as crews cleaned up the scene, but they were opened back up a few hours later.
ODOT said the driver was transported to the hospital, but officials said he seems to be okay.

Hell even back in the 70's if you were in a vehicle on the runway you had to have radio contact with the tower, to cross the runway you had to ask permission.

Lance Cpl. Anthony T. DuBeau died as a result of injuries sustained from the crash when the aircraft impacted a government vehicle. DuBeau was assigned to Headquarters and Headquarters Squadron (H&HS) aboard MCAS Yuma.
"Our hearts and prayers go out to the family and friends of the Marine we lost in this tragic accident," stated MCAS Yuma Commanding Officer, Col. Ricardo Martinez. "We at MCAS Yuma stand ready to provide support to his family."
DuBeau, 23, a native of Kenosha, WI., enlisted in the Marine Corps April 1, 2013. He served within H&HS as an aviation operations specialist. His personal awards include the National Defense Service Medal and Global War on Terrorism Medal.
Some of DuBeau's daily duties included inspecting the airfield for any discrepancies, creating and disseminating deployment schedules, status reports on on-going airfield construction projects, and releasing flight plans received from pilots.
The incident is currently under investigation by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the National Transportation Safety Board (NTSB).
This is in a 35mph zone. Lights each direction half a block On a curve. The direction and side of the road it is on heavy traffic and its a 25mph zone less than a half block. So with the damage how did they get it going fast enough to do that damage.
Is there a chance someone was exceeding the posted speed?
Brad Steele
I know speed was a factor but in that location you would need a fast car to do it. Best I could do from a Light that is almost always red would be about 45Mph.
Speed kills...
From what I am hearing now 85-90mph and did not live.
17 year old girl.
Death does not care about age. Don
Police said the teen was driving over the River Road connector when she crossed the center line, hit a tree, and was then thrown from the vehicle.
Officers said the teen was the only person in the car.
Police said she was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, where she later died from her injuries.
Officers said they are still investigating the crash, but said speed appears to be a factor.
Police said it's unknown at this time if drugs or alcohol were also factors.
Officers are not yet releasing the teen's name to allow the family time to notify other relatives and close friends.
The crash forced the northbound lanes of Chambers to closed from 8:05 a.m. until 12:45 p.m.

Friends of hers are now saying she had some form of medical Incident.

Generation excuse.
Had one just about as wrecked -2 girls dead. We brought back one. Under one we found a cell phone ringing again and again- Handed it to PD
Later he tells me "It was her friend wanting to know where her friend went."
They were speeding + switching lanes according to investigation and witnesses.
You seen 17 y/o girls drive? With the cell glued to their face?
Eleven die every day doing this.
