Anyone had this happen on an auction..?

Awhile back I had an item sell on an auction here and never got notice of it. I just happened to see it when cruising through sold items. The winning bidder never got notice either. I emailed them, and the transaction went through without a hitch, but just wondering if this is somewhat common.

    Well, yes it just happened to me, but it was on ebay and it was the result of a hacker trying to rip someone off while pretending to be me. I got a notice from paypal that I had been paid for an item I didn't even know I had sold. Somehow they got in and rerouted all the ebay emails directly into the trash. I only found this out by doing a "ebay" search on my email account. I just changed all my passwords and reset my firewall and I was OK.

    Ebay caught it as quickly as it started so no damage was done, but it was rather freaky. $&&^&^# punks.

    Yeah, it often takes several hours for me to get notice of ended aucs from ebay, but they do eventually come.
