Banning bird hunting would probably make a considerable cut in state revenues. Some states more than others. Hunting for sport may not be banned, but the government may do something to warn hunters about eating their harvest.

In Colorado, hunting is the #2 industry behind tourism (I would have thought skiing would generate more $$ but apparently not, unless they count skiing as tourism).

They didn't ban deer/elk hunting with CWD, they just told hunters to be careful.

They will ever ban hunting, only on paper, & in the head of the straights...for the man in us ,it is instinct..

I don't think you have to eat the animal...to get bird flu...stuffing a few birds in my hunting vest should be enough exposure...has anyone heard of wild populations getting the disease?
