Legal question....

A G.I. currently deployed to Iraq wants to purchase a rifle I have for sale. The rifle is an Arsenal SLR-107FR. The G.I.'s state of residence is Virginia. He wants the rifle shipped to a FFL in Maryland. Is this legal?

Thanks

why not? as long as the ffl holder keeps it until he returns to collect it it should`nt be a problem...legally until it`s given to the buyer the ffl holder would be the legal owner, so the batf should`nt be able to do anything about it...even if they knew about it.

Absolutely is. He may do a transfer on long guns in any state. I also believe since he is stationed in Maryland, he could apply as a resident and do handgun transfers as well.

Yes it's legal. State of residence does not matter when purchasing a long gun (normally)

As long as you're shipping to an FFL, you're covered.

I would hope so because I'm in Mo. and sold a handgun to a guy in Sweden
that went through his regular FFL in CO.<shrug>
