Had a state trooper at the house many years ago giving me a hard time about a neighbors car. Didn't have anything to do with me but the trooper was being a horses behind. Situation was getting to the point where something bad was going to go down when my geese showed up to see what the commotion was about. Turns out that the trooper was scared of geese, ran and got in his car. He rolled the window down a couple of inches and told me to give him my drivers license. I laughed at him and went to the house, told him if he wanted it, come and get it. The geese pecked at his hub caps for a while, got bored and wandered away. Trooper ended up driving away and bothering my neighbor, where he should have been in the first place.

I once had a guinea hen, that thought it was a 10' tall Kodiak. It would chase any strangers, dogs,or cats out of our yard. The fellow who read our meter, would ask us to lock it up. Utility workers entered our back yard, and the bird had two of them cornered, and the third was defending himself with a fiberglass ladder. Birds can truly be ferocious animals.

i can understand with a turkey those spurs can mess you up and a goose bite hurts like hell but a guinea hen??? now thats funny what do they weight 3-5lbs? pretend its a feathered football. always amused me how people are scared/intimadated by such small critters. kinda like watching a grown man running from a Chihuahua.

Had a Turkey I got for free. Went to pick up two old toms, the lady put in a third and told me to make sure he never comes back.

Had the two Toms about 3 years great birds would walk with me as I checked the pasture. Would even let me pet them on the head. Those two died of natural Causes(Old Age).

The third one if you wore black shoes he would attack. After calling the lady back she was tired of not getting her mail. Bird was chasing off the mailman. The only time I wore balck shoes and did not get attacked I would be walking with those other 2 Toms. They were very big birds 45-50 lbs. He only went about 25.

One day I thought I had killed him, he came out me as I was working on my truck. Hit him with a 2X4, he was laying on the ground twitching. Went in to get a knife and came back out. Well he was gone. Saw him about a week later had a big old knot on the side of his head.

That was about 5 years ago, He disapeared, but from time to time I get a Turkey Gobbling at me when I go out in the pasture. Have not see it but it must be one of his kids.

This bird actually scared me cause He would drop out of a tree to get you. I've been attacked by geese and handled them with no problem. So I can see someone who does not handle bird this size being trapped by it.

I've seen people when I was a kid chased off by my attack duck.

I knew a guy that had a large salvage yard, and had a few "junk yard
dogs" and one junkyard turkey. You didn't want to mess with either.[xx(]
