i had to order a new computer. my other was 4.5 years old. but anyhow, i ordered one from dell and told them this would be my third computer from them i did not order a moniter, key board, or mouse, i told the guy every thing i had was dell and that i would use the old componets. he said OK. well i recieved it today and could not hook up the key board or the mouse. they had changed the connections. i called DELL and told them their salesman did not tell me i needed a update board or mouse or i would have bought a whole kit instead of just the brain. it took about 25 minutes on the phone, but dell told me they were sorry for the problem and would send me a board and mouse free. i think that they treat their customers pertty darn good

yep..you can`t complain too much when they send them to you for free, but you still have to wait for them to turn up i supose.. maybe the person you spoke to originally to buy it did`nt know the fitting had been changed?

I'm assuming your old computer had the PS2 connections for the mouse/keyboard. Kinda odd for a computer that's only 4? yo. My Dell is about that age and the mouse/keyboard is USB.

I had planned on ordering a Dell laptop for my middle child. They have one for $299 with pretty nice features for the price! Now....all I hear is "I want an I-Pod touch for Christmas." I may still get the laptop. It seems like a better way to spend the money.

The standard mouse and keyboard come with every Dell computer I have ever seen in the stores or on there site. So why would you say no to them in the first place? Always use a backup.

Just ordered a new DELL laptop for my dad last night. All he will use if for is email and internet wihle in Florida for the winter. Total cost with tax and shipping was only $398.00 No way I could beat that deal at any of my local stores. IMO DELL is the only way to go on computers.

I bought a reconditioned Dell, and although it don't see a lot of
service it seems to run just fine.
