I thought I would send you some paper back novels that I have if you would like them.

I mostly read detective, political mysteriesr and stuff like that, although I do have some westerns and straight war books.

Do you have a few favorite authors ??

    Best.

Went to the beach today and packed you up a box of Pacific Ocean sand - got it shipped to you via Priority Mail before the P.O. closed.

Though that you and your Kameraden might miss a touch of home.

I just got some really good fresh smoked trout.

Do you think it would make the trip without spoiling ??

If so, do you want some ??

    It's just a little.

I would also be happy to send our troops a box full of books. Did this twice several years ago. Had a friend stationed in Afganistan. Would be pleased to do it again. Lee said those books got passed around til they were just about wore out. Let me know your address.

Steven Coonts, Steven King, Louis Lamour, Tom Clancy, Dean Koonts.

Books would be most appreciated, Doug. I've been dying without something to read.

Got books by some of those authors. Got some others that if you didn't care much for them your buddies might enjoy.

I just want to double check, the APO address below your pic is your mailing address right? I don't need to put a country on the address? It has been a couple of years since I did this and my brain only works part time.

Jake called me today and told me to say hi to all his friends on GB.

Thanks for the books Doug Wilson.

Called from Bagdad where it is 105 today. Missions are long and hot with lots of heavy gear on your back and protection armor.

He is looking forward to his leave in July to return for a long Bike ride to visit friends and family.

I told him to keep his head down and to be safe.

I've never had elk. Jerky would be a wonderful treat, as long as it's home made, or butcher shop jerky.

The kind that's hard enough to use as a hammer if you have nothing else. I don't really care too much for store bought jerky that's super moist. Doesn't last long enough.

Well, Doug...I can say one thing for sure. Increased age sure hasn't made your sense of humor slip any.

    No rush. Thanks again.

Zulu-Best time I had over there working in the NOC at night was monitoring what the troopies were viewing on their laptops. They were ALWAYS trying to look at what the ARMY considered PORNOGRAPHY.
Most of it was BLOCKED automatically by the software with that EAGLE and the BLOCKED msg. But there were ways an enterpising user could get thru the block. This one LT was doing naughty.Liked to look at kids. So after repeated warnings I blocked his isp acc by changing his password.
Well I get this call from LT Snuffy and he tells me he is Col's Blank's aide and I better unblock him or else. Wrong ans louie. Dont EVER threaten me. Gonna kick my butt. Fine. Lets dance. I tell lt he needs to see my boss about cause once I block Someone I dont have the authority to let them back on line. Talk about studdering and some one asking to be forgiven and remission of sins. This guy accepted the Lord. Converted to Allah and Jehova all at once. But I simply printed up his site history and gave it to my boss. Sad thing is this lt had to come by and get their kyks reset by us every few days or so. He would not speak to me. But did love to see him squirm.
