Hi, my brother has joined the 4-h club and they will be going on a youth hunt next year for quail and deer. The bad thing is he doesnt own any rifles or shotguns, so do yall have any ideas as with one he should get?

I heard somewhere that hunting was in decline is this true.I thought that fireams sales had increased and hunting had gone up in numbers.

Been out hunting tonight -freezing rain-sleet-snow. Had a spike buck in my cross-hairs for several minutes but let him go. I'm not sure if I was waiting for something bigger, or if it just reminded me of one of my teen-age sons.(oblivious of the world around them). Had a big buck show up, minutes after it was too dark for a safe shot.
I'll try it again about 5 in the morn. I think I must be crazy.

    If it ain't broke-it ain't ours!!!

Glad to hear that you and your daughter had a good time in the woods. A bad day in the woods is better then a good day at the office.[:D]

Bravo! I commend you for taking your daughter hunting! The introduction to the shooting sports is a good thing and creating times she will always remember as she grows up is wonderful.[^]
