That is the main reason I couldn't support Cain in his 999 plan. Obviously these folks don't understand that while locals have to pay sales tax, online orders have to pay shipping , so it really evens out, and will severely hurt sites like Wideners, Midway, and GunBroker since not only do you have to pay shipping, you also have to pay sales tax on top of that.

Initially, as it stands now. but just like Osama's I mean Obama's "millionaire" tax which now affects everybody (ya know where your taxes went up in Jan.)

An internet sales tax has been an agenda item for Demorats since Clinton.

Only selfish idiots would welcome any new tax thinking that it will somehow benefit them.

How many of these "mom and pop" business owners buy their inventory via the Internet? Talk about shoot yourself in the foot!

Go ahead and give the politicians a chance to ruin the Internet economy. Their greed will destroy any benefit of using the Internet.

    I hate politicians.[:(!]

In Texas we are already paying sales tax on certain Internet purchases; Texas won that legal battle about a year ago. For example, if I buy something from Amazon that is sold by Amazon, it has State Tax added because Amazon has business locations in Texas. However, if the item is sold by someone other than Amazon, even if it is fulfilled by Amazon; then it isn't taxed unless the actual seller is located in Texas.

If you can't feel the music; it's only pink noise!

The only reason I buy online is to avoid taxes. Unless I buy from somewhere within the state, then I still have to pay tax.
