Sheriff Joe Arpaio in the News!

Sheriff Joe was interviewed on the radio in Portland today. He said that AZ has made it a felony to come into this country illegially and he was sending out his Posse each night to pick them up. They will serve time in his jail or be shipped back to Mexico with a AZ rap sheet. The next time they come in he will put them in the slammer for a long time.

The Portland interviewer tiptoed and danced around the issue of "is this really right", can you do this, etc. It hard to believe everyone is so scared of getting bad PR about coming out in public against the illegials. Bunch of wooseys!

Its good that at least one person has the courage to stand up for the law and what he believes to be the right course of action.

I guess thats what the real definition of the term "leader". One who stands up in the middle of the firestorm and shows some "Common Sense".

i predict his posse grows bigger and bigger. i wonder if he would be able to arrest illegals in california if he could prove that they crossed the border (thus breaking the law) in arizona. now THAT would be interesting, lol

In his radio interview he stated that his possie are all volunters, work for free and are working under his authority and the authority of his subordinates. They are trained in the use of firearms and many are ex-police officers. I'll bet this will spread quickly unless the ACLU jumps him fast.

I saw a bit of a TV interview today, the guy comes across as a basic hardass but well grounded and able to use the common sense the Good Lord gave him. He said, "Break the law in MY county you go to jail, period" I'm pretty sure he extends that sentiment to other areas of the law as well, not just Illegals. Good for him! GO JOE!

It must be nice to be a tax payer in an AZ county with so much money and so little crime that it's sheriff and his deputies can go off and do a job which should be done by the federal government.
