Okay. Right now I'm a bit scared.

I don't normally say that I'm scared. But, right now I am.
I get the conservative newspaper, the Rocky Mountain News. It isn't really conservative, but it looks like an extreme right wing rag compared to the ultra-liberal, make-us-all-commies-please Denver Post.
This morning, the RMN endorsed Bill Ritter for governor. The paper said that they like Bob Beauprez, they think he is a fine congressman, but they think Ritter's claptrap and ultra-liberal campaign talk will go away and he'll become a fine, moderate governor.
This is a candidate who has never met a tax he didn't like nor a gun he couldn't find a reason to ban.
We have a democrat-controlled legislature. We will likely have an even stronger democrat-controlled legislature after November.
The RMN admits that the Democrats have put forth some very flakey legislation and, thankfully, we've had a GOP governor to veto those bills. In the same sentence, the RMN says it trusts Ritter to do the same.
When Columbine happened, we were on the verge of having CCW here, and then the Dems made the GOP pull those pieces of legislation. Then the Dems introduced gun banning bills, and the GOP wouldn't allow them to see the light of day -- but that's when the GOP had control.
After Bailey on Wednesday, compounded with our Democrat-controlled legislature and a Democrat as governor, I'm very scared right now.

We need a third party.
Both parties suck hog toes. Leadership, guts, morals and values are toys used to get elected.
We need a third party.
That's nice, but a viable third party is going to take decades to put together.
One party actively works at banning guns. The other party doesn't.
