So,there I was,innocently cleaning my workbench and it happened. Using my fingernails,I was scraping the last remnants of dirt/debris into a dustpan when all of a sudden my middle finger stopped,stuck to the bench. Immediately I realized that a splinter 1/4" long had gone under the fingernail and impeded further forward movement. First,there was a bright flash of light,or maybe two,I can't remember. Then,a not very good sensation that a 1/4" splinter had just been shoved under my fingernail. I may have crapped myself,again I don't remember. I saw stars,I saw Elvis,I saw the Parthenon. Anyone else have this experience?

Is there some correlation? TIA
