need to syphon gas from 98 trooper

I need to syphon gas from a 98 trooper with a full tank of gas. Does this vehicle has a anti syphon screen on it. I would hate to spend the money of a syphon hose just for it to sit around unused.

Punch a hole in the tank!
Yeah, I hear the thieves are doing that.
If not, cut the hose, turn the vehicle over until its empty on gas, it actually comes out rather quick...
OR, drop the tank a little, and it will all spill out for you.
This would be your Trooper....right?
Take a garden hose, or some kinda rubber line and shove it down there. Suck a little but not enough gas comes into your mouth, youll get the feel for it 1-2 times after getting a mouth full of gasoline ( I learned the hard way, of course.)

uuummm....he wasnt asking fro instructions on how to siphon a tank. it would appear that anybody older than 15 can figure that out. he was asking if the vehicle in question had a screen in the fill pipe to prevent siphoning.
if this is a vehicle that is never to run again, your easiest solution is to punch a hole in the tank. if you can figure how to make the pump run all the better. you can also drop the tank and remove the fuel that way.
If you can get your hose down BLOW into it and the gas will start. Don't suck or you will get a mouth full, Just put your hose lower after you blow to fill the container on the ground. [:p][:0]

That is the truth, only amateurs siphon by sucking.
Stick the hose in and put a rag around the hose where it meets the filler neck. Blow in hose as hard as you can and quickly take your mouth off the hose and lower it. The tank slighly pressurizes and forces fuel out the hose. When the fuel starts coming pull the rag seal off to let air in.

Another way is to submerge the hose in gas and let it fill with fluid, then hold you thumb over the top end and it will hold the fluid in the hose. Drop the other end in the tank and remove your thumb, and you have instant flow.
Kind of like when You are playing with a straw in a drink. Put straw in drink, cover end of straw. You will see the straw full if you pull it out of the drink with your thumb still on it.

Since I was a kid, this, around here, is known as:
A MEXICAN CREDIT CARD
Trust me on this, there's a hole in the skid plate, right in the middle, there's a 10 or 12mm bolt right there, put a container under the truck and remove that bolt.
I had to replace the fuel pump on my White 95 Trooper FOUR TIMES.
That's how I know this!
