Our country sure seems to be in proverbial handbasket.
I used to recruit for the NRA until they sold us down the river (again!) in Heller v. DC. See my auctions (if any) under username henryreilly

LOL ... the Congress has ROBBED the Social Security funding for
SO long that they expect 20,000,000 - 100,000,000 illegal poor,
illiterate bottle washers and car dryers to save Social Security!

AH HA HA HA HA! ... what a great sense of humor!

YOUR/MY taxes are going to have to go WAY up to save us from
all of this ridiculous solution![:D][:D][:D] 'Social Welfare costs are
going to SKYROCKET over the next 20, 30, ??? years!?? Warn your
    kids and grandkids!

Zip doesn't lie - give it a thought or two!

Vote the vermin out the first chance you get! Any/ALL of them![:D]

I started getting mine 01-01-06 Zip. I know what you are saying. I'm just fine. My sons (35 & 40) can probably live out a pretty nice life with a little luck. Well, they are all ready discussing who gets the CBX and the '69 Firebird conv't (60K miles and the original title) and the property. One already has the '70 Malibu w/ orig. title. It's my grandkids I worry about. I wish I didn't have any. I'm truly worried about the servival of the country as we know it.
It's too late for me, save yourself.

zip has got it right ...a recent example...congress couldnt make a decision on immigration (ILLEGAL PEOPLE), so they took a vacation...i'm sure the traffic across border also took time off...should have all had recall petitions filed on them...legislators like judges retirement & medical are guarantteeeeeeed, in the bag safe & sound not subject to change like the average joe (who really worked)....we should have immigration, follow legal rules & fund or financially assist skilled professionals in all fields from any where to come to this country to improve it & stop the brain drain to other countries....doubt if the existing taxpayers can afford to support the worlds ill, illiterate & indigent

nothin amazes me anymore...I guess if they pay in they should be eligable.
I have a question...if a forign national works for a year in this country even legally. and then moves home where ever that may be are they eligable for social security for the duration of their life after retirement age?

I was separated from the military two years ago for combat related injuries. The VA took twenty months to rate me as 50% disabled and now I get a check for $437 each month. On that idealism...if I were stuck in a wheelchair sucking a straw to move(and yes it goes up a little for higher %) could I live on $1000-1200 a month? I'm not saying I should be getting rich but at least treated fairly. Everytime someone buys one of those "I support the troops" ribbons or any thing else it would be nice if those proceeds went to the lobbyists for increasing health care and benefits of the veterans.
