Unless there's something I;m missing I don't think the condition justifies a $2500 price tag. No box and a lot of wear from being carried and used. Not in collector condition. For that money you can get one in the correct box in much better shape.

Maybe a grand too high.

I think he thinks the fact it was shipped to a Navy PX will up the collector interest. IMHO, he's wrong.

If my memory is correct, the early models did not have a red ramp.

I agree, he wants way to much. Looks way beyond holder wear, some scratches appear deep.

The 44s always had the red ramp insert. Optional on other models since 1953.
