I was hoping that either Gowdy or Sessions would get the AG post!!!!! I voted for Sessions for it two days ago, and Gowdy for the SC.

An old Alabama boy is in as Attorney General if the scoop is correct!!!!!!!!!!

And, "Representative Mike Pompeo as CIA director and General Mike Flynn as national security adviser, a transition official said on Friday."

The old boy is, like his new boss, a mixed bag.

Definitely not a supporter of individual freedoms and liberties which is troubling for and AG.

Votes against abortion and also against funding for education and contraception.

Voted for increased wire-tapping capability on cell phones, etc.

He was the first sitting Senator to back Mr. Trump, so it is possible he was able to lobby successfully for himself and was given what he requested.

An interesting choice to be sure. Certainly not someone I would support based upon his record, but people often rise to the responsibilities thrust upon them.

So you would prefer someone, with no Law degree, or College education, be our Attorney General??

    Just curious.

If you like that he voted for the Patriot Act, the renewal of the Patriot act, the elimination of required a FISA warrant to go after wiretaps of telephone calls that originate within the US, by all means, support him.

I am well aware of the fact that Trump supporters believe in the power of the Federal Government over the power of the States and of the freedoms of the individual. Nothing wrong with pointing out things that could be problematic for our freedoms with the selection of an Attorney General.

I hope he does well and vindicates your belief in mindless loyalty. History tells us that such loyalty often can create problems. Hopefully, as I stated, Mr. Sessions rises to the office and discards the anti-liberty and anti-Constitutional positions he has historically held.

I will be the first to praise him if he does so.

I bet the Dems pour a lot of money into that special election to replace Sessions. Every republican senator Trump picks creates an opportunity to lose the majority in the Senate.

Alabama will never pick a Democrat for a senator in my lifetime. I can't imagine that. I wished the people of Oregon were as smart as those in Alabama. We can't beat their football team either.

....as I stated before, we don't need a "Libertarian Sympathy"....Jeff Sessions is a real Patriot! He is a true Son of the South! He very much a "States Rightest"....as is Trump! Trump has already said a lot of issues should be decided by the States! He makes sense...Ron Paul didn't!And maybe I'm blind , but I can see! You lost! We won!....[;)]

If you see the dead hose, identify it.

Is it that you wish no discussion of the new appointees ?

Or just discussion of which you disapprove ?

Kind of sensitive tonight, aren't you ?

No, I am not being overly sensitive. (Thanks for asking.)

I am all for an intelligent discussion of the appointees.

I merely responded to your post, which seemed to indicate you had an issue with a College educated, Law degree holding candidate for Attorney General.

If that was not your position, then why the post?

You then respond with, "Don't you recognize it?" Yes, I recognized your post, for what it was.
