did she give up the secretary of state job?? all through the campain they still called her madam secretary. just wondering cause where has she been? I wish I could take 3-4 months off just cause.... and still get paid. there should be some type of dereliction of duty clause for senators, congressmen, gov't workers who just don't show up for their jobs........[V][V]

    paying for her absense(no phone calls or computer time) saves a lot over the damage she could do helping obummer's last flaunts..call it an undeserved early retirement

    uh i hate to tell ya fellas, but she resigned from the job, and then John-i WAS in VietNam- Kerry became SOS. and its standard practice to refer to the title held by a executive,cabinet level position , legislator or judge on the federal level. President Bush, Madame Secretary Clinton, Senator Kerry Judge Scalia, etc.

    Obama gave her the job as political payoff for her support once the 2008 primary was over. Main knock on her during campaign was lack of foreign policy experience. This position gave her that for her run in 2016 after Obama was done messing up the country. She resigned in 2012 to begin preparing her 2016 campaign.

    Some job titles like president. secretary of X, ambassador are for life. If you were to bump into a former president you still address him as "Mr. President." Same with a cabinet level officer.

    She now has medical coverage and retirement for life due to being a Secretary of State.
    For all us, this would set us for life.
    Add in Bills Retirement and medical.
