Started getting Field&Stream last month...

I never subscribed to it and have no idea why I am getting it.
Anyone else have this happen lately?

    You will now and then get "free" subscriptions to Mags like that when the Fed's computers 'hiccup" and put your name on someone's Else's watch list. Better clear your history and cookies right away.[:D]

    The reason I stopped subscribing to "outdoor" magazines, is that 60% or more of the content is advertisements. Plus, most, if not all of the articles are sponsered by companies looking to get a favorable review "more business for them."

    Jeff,
    Did you respond to the F&S free offer, posted by EMCS?

    I did (thanks Rick) and have recieved Sept., Oct., and Nov. issues.

    Have to say it is NOT the F&S of my youth!

    Certainly not worth $18.00 per year for a subscription. [;)]

    I also got a free subscripition via ECMS's link. It has definately changed over the years. In one of the issues I counted 12 continous pages of advertising.

    Was it the issue with a bear on the cover? If so I also got one and never went to any links.

    I have so far gotten Sept.,Oct.and today the Nov. issues.
    I may have opened EMCS's link but, no way would I EVER sign-up for anything I found in a "LINK"...
    I am now just waiting on a bill from F&S that I WILL refuse to pay and prob. be sent to a collection agency...
    If I get another issue I will send their subscription card back to them with "I NEVER SUBSCRIBED,PLEASE STOP SENDING" on it.

    F&S does give away some free one year subscriptions. I believe I had to sign up though. After 2 months I canceled. Not the F&S I grew up reading by a very long shot.
