My brother in law either won, or lost his battle with ALS yesterday afternoon. He fought it hard, he fought it long, and he fought it valiantly, never losing faith. He always believed that he would walk again, and I believe that he is. Just not on this mortal earth.

Bad way to go
Condolences to you and your family

I have to periodically get up through the night to empty a urine bag and ostomy pouch and usually hit the on button for the radio.
Generally tuned into late night Coast to Coast, during an extended time have heard several times people who die and pass through the lite, but return say they have seen relatives and friends while on other side of the lite and any malady they may have had on our side is gone on the other side
Have heard and read the same elsewhere. Even the crazy guy on what is called Ground Zero has had some of the same info
Do I believe--don't know--consider it as food for thought. If true your BIL ALS is gone which I'm sure he would consider a blessing. Have seen the effects and the death from the disease, rough way to go.
Prayers for you and the family.
ALS is just just AWFUL.
Peace

I lost my wife of 30 yrs a week ago Thursday to ALS. It is a horrible desease. Our sons wedding was the Saturday before she died. The Doctors and Nurses got their heads together Saturday morning and sent me home to get her curlers makeup and the fancy dress she had bought. The Nurses did her hair and makeup put her dress on put her in a wheel chair and sent us to the Wedding. In hind sight I think getting to the Wedding was all that was keeping her going.
Prayers for comfort.
What a horrible ailment to have to suffer through.
