I read the thread about the $20 check being held until it clears and someone mentioned sending cash. How many of you send cash for items? I usually send cash if it is $20 or so.

As long as it's 1-2 bills only,I have been known to put it in a Christmas or b/day card and mail it..

I bought a call from woody. Sent cash, and walla peanut butter sandwiches , the call came in the mail.

I personally wouldn't send more than $50 myself though.

it is not about Woody it is about someone you cannot trust they could say they never got it

also if a check gets lost in the mail you can stop payment but cash is gone 4ever

I am sure at some point in my life I have sent cash in a birthday card or something, but I don't make it a habit. Usually personal check if the seller will accept that or a money order if they don't.

I dont normaly send cash in the mail unless its someone I know and trust...and then im weary because that envelope could always get "lost" in the mail. I prefer a cashiers check or money order to send in the mail. I dont even like paypal.

    Just won two auctions.
The one for <$15 will be cash. Because he agreed to take cash instead of the proscribed "money order"

The other <$200 will be personal check. Because thats what he asked for and I don't mind waiting for it to clear, if thats what he wants.

I usally ask them if i check is ok. If not then i send a money order. I have sent cash once or twice for stuff under 20.00 but not often.
