Three out of the last four US Presidents have been left handed:

George H. W. Bush
Bill Clinton
Barack Obama

Can anyone calculate the probabilities of that for me?

i am currently looking to purchase a semi-auto pistol. i have been in the Navy for 15 yrs now so i have had to us them for quit some time. my question is, what are my options for an ambidextrous pistol and should i even be concerned with converting it to left handed. i am looking at the S&W new M&P model and the Taurus 24/7. both in the .40 cal. i am not a fan of the 1911 style. i used to carry it before the Navy went to the berretta.

Ive seen left handed 1911s, the slide release was on the right side and the shells were ejected out the left side.

I believe that Springfield Armory's XD9 Series has a mag release on either side for ambidextrous use. Don't know if their .40 and .45 do as well.

The famous left handed 1911 is the Randall "Port-Sider" 1911, the rifling is reveresed and everything. I've never ran accross one when I had the money to buy one. Stag arms is currently selling a lefty AR-15.

im a lefty also, you will find some handguns with the mag release on both sides...i would be more careful looking at the ejector, since the ejected shell is going to cross your body....i purchased the new ruger P345 because it was comfortable for me(although synthetic grips)and ejected shells cleared my body easily. It was a pain finding a holster for it though, had to have one custom made by brigadegunleather.com
