    It is for my wife.
    In August 2010 she had her third spinal sugery and they installed eight screws and two rods, since then she has had a malady of mystery ailments, swelling, joint pain, etc.
    The test has been ordered to see if what types of metals she is allgeric to. We are concerned because in checking with the maunfacturer of her hardware, it is Titanium alloy, and in that alloy is nickel.

    She had a very bad reaction to a white gold ring I purchased for her a couple years ago, we then had a indentical one made from gold and no problem. So this has us very concerned.

    make sure they test that alloy then, because you won't know for sure otherwise. Ti by itself is pretty inert, but it's not on the level of gold or platinum. I feel for your wife. Nickel is everywhere and a lot of people are becoming allergic to it. It's the metallic counterpart to peanuts.

    the test hasn't arrived as of yet.
    Will we be able to pick and choose what we want tested for or how does that work.
