..I don't have a pic loaded of my S&W 37 Airweight. Plain Jane alloy frame square butt from (I think) late 50's or early 60's. Ser. #279595. It was a cop's off duty gun and the only mark on it is a rub on the right stock where he must have brushed a brick wall or something.

The grips are earlier 'diamond' grips. Did not come
with the gun, originally. Actually wider than the new
'J' frame round butt grips. Better feel/control.

Although the gun is nice 'n oiled/cleaned, I left the
grips as I found them from a parts-bin when scavenging.

Sort of a 'character' thingie.

Now, to answer your question..it's a round-butt '36 intended
for export (lanyard ring/made in USA stamped on the backstrap).
And you can use a toothbrush to
remove the verdegris (green). Best, Joe

With a bit of practice, I have been able to keep 5 of 5 shots on a steel, man-style silhouette at 50 yards with the Bodyguard shown.

I'm surprised nobody else has posted a picture of the lightest J Frame of all the S&W 340PD .357 Mag that weighs in at 11.2 ounces. Here's mine with a set of Crimson Trace Laser Grips. I've got other snubbies but there's no comparison when carrying in the pocket. You can carry the 340PD all day without it pulling your pants down and it doesn't fell like a big chunk of steel in an ankle holster either.
