Getting rid of old gas

No, not from Mexican food. I was given an old boat that has about thirty gallons of gas in plastic tanks (removable from the boat). I don't know how old the gas is, but the boat has not been used for a number of years. I was thinking of filling a steel bucket with sand, put it in a safe place and pouring a half gallon at a time into the bucket and lighting it from a distance. Is there an easier/safer way to dispose of the gas?

I ran it through the Jeep. 5 gallons twice with a fill up. That was about 80,000 miles ago.

Pour it in your "Favorite Neighbor's" tank!
Yep, and "sweeten" it with a quart of Karo syrup/5 gallons.[}:)]
Our County has a place where you can drop off gas, oil, paint, etc.
I always get rid of the years supply of lawmmower and weedeater gas with it, the mixed gas give the exhaust a pleasant smell [:D]
The gas on the bottom will have water and contaminants. Take that to recycle and dump it.
go to napa get octane booster, or seafoam, and stabil ..find best way to mix then use
Weeds. Driveway/fence.
