Okay I'm a Monday through Friday dish washer at the Hyatt Place at the Airport. I constantly hear the women talking how hard it is working there on the weekend. Sounded to me it was like giving child birth. You have it made during the week on weekends its crazy around here. So Friday I asked one of the managers since you have no dish washer this weekend (she was fired last Saturday) if I could work Saturday as well. Surprising she agreed. Came in at my usual time worked my shift even though breakfast runs a half hour later on the weekend then during the week. I punched out 5 minutes later then I normally would during the week. So I asked the manager seeing that since I had so much fun today how bout I come in on Sunday as well. She said fine, came in at my usual time the breakfast ran a half hour later as well. Punched out the same time as if the breakfast ended a half hour sooner or the exact time I would have during the week. Guess I showed them[;)][:)]

Back in 1977 I was a dishwasher at a popular bar and restaurant.
It was all manual and the attitude of the kitchen staff was so good that time flew. Plus they fed me really good food.
I loved Saturday worked hard and time flew, kitchen closed and we all partied.

I washed dishes at Shoney's Big Boy Restaurant in Nashville, TN back in 1966 when I was a senior in high school. Ranks in the top 2 of the all time worse jobs I've ever had.

We used to have a Shoneys here and it didn't last to long. It closed after about a year. A few years later it opened again. We went there once and then I remembered why it should close. A few months later it did. Haven't had one since

Worked one day in restaurant,on a Fl beach, washing dishes. Im a good cleaner but scoring a waitress and planning another, they sort of fired me. Never forget the pig spraying dirty dishes for the machine and getting stuff all over the draining spaghetti.

They ripped you off! I was making a whopping $1.10 an hour. [:D]

I took a cut in pay to $1.00 an hour when I moved back to Knoxville and went to work at a service station pumping gas and washing cars. Actually it was a raise since they paid in cash plus it was a much better place to meet girls. [8D] I could also tinker with my car and motorcycle between customers when I was working nights.

Sure beat mopping the floor or picking up trash at the parking lot and drive-in when I wasn't busy washing dishes at Shoney's.
