Ya know, I used to get upset about these things.

Technology, specifically computer and cell phone Technology. It used to piss me off to no end to get stymied by the changes computer eggheads call improvements on my phone and computer updates.

I no longer get upset by the constant barrage of changes, I no longer get frustrated by not being able to do a computer related task that worked fine before the update "improvement". I no longer give up trying the same thing over and over, failing, even when following the written instructions to a T.

Nope, I am old and wise enough to just accept the fact that I am a *, it is what it is. So, I will just fumble through the remainder of my days on this planet dreaming of choking the life out of a whole bunch of these eggheads, happy, content and accepting of my dummassery.

But do you yell at the TV like they can really hear you? That's what my Dad never learned to get over.

Maybe buy a "smart cellphone" that's been "jail breaked" or is that "jail broken" ??? or get access to the operating system w/o limitation.

Then you can "screw around", look at, delete stuff, modify how it works, make it work different, get rid of all the "bloatware" and with enough effort "brick" the phone.

Think about it, walking down the street looking busy, entertainment for hours, days, maybe years and don't need to make any calls and the worst thing that can happen will be,, NOTHING, you'll be better of w/o a "smart cellphone".

I've worked on cars that's had parts and bolts that were so hard to get to that I would have killed the engineer that designed the thing if I could have gotten my hands on him at the time and then proceeded to stomp, kick and jump up and down on his dead body. [:(!]

Naa, I don't get upset by the auto censor it is an inanimate object doing what it was programmed to do. I find the mindset of the people making these changes to be quite childish. It sure looks like they too have fallen into the ANTIFA trap, triggered by words that convey truth.

Maybe by this time next year we can have the auto censor take Christmas out of permissible words and replace it with Holiday so we don't offend the Communists.

A good friend of mine who has worked as an auto mechanic all is life told me that these new fangled cars are designed by people who have never turned a wrench in their lives.

The result is positive for both sides. The cars need less care, less repairs over their lives. That is really awesome for the consumer. When they do break, I am not talking about changing brakes and wiper blades; it requires skilled, trained smart technicians that understand the technology and can deal with it professionally. That is awesome for the mechanic, he makes more money for his knowledge of what is wrong. It is just like a doctor, they get paid for what he knows not what he does, and the trained mechanic makes more money too.

I have a buddy with a Northstar in his Caddy. He is very proud of the Northstar.

The starter went out, and I started laughing when he told me about crawling underneath the car with the new starter he got...and couldn't find the starter.

He got real quiet when I told him where the Government Motors engineers hid it. [:D]

Piece of cake ! Looks like you'd get'r done with a pair of pliers and screwdriver. Maybe a 1/4 socket set with adaptor. Remove all the little gizmos and whats'zits, wipe it down, some hand goop, etc.

That picture is nothing for a bunch of iron workers. Back in the old days, before the safety rules that require 100% tie-off, our iron workers on my companies projects made the The Flying Wallendas look like an amateur act.
