I was so glad to see a victim come out on top that I forgot to ask ya'll what I started to ask. I know the advantages of larger calibers and gauges but what I need is something for room size or person on person use for a fellow who is 62 yrs. of age with some osteo-arthritis and neropothy with trouble walking. A hammerless 38-357 or NAA 22 mag. for CC and the 410 pistol-grip Marlin for bedroom or bed use. Thanks.

I agree, it worked for umpteen years. Too many BAW years--- Before Air Wrenches and I mean biggins, 1 inch and 1-1/2 drive models for me helped make recoil and control difficult. Need something reliable, easy to hold on to if things get serious. Thanks again.

If it comes time to pull the trigger, you would be able to handle a 12 gauge shotgun with bird shot and not feel any pain, or for that matter, even here it go off.

Just spotted a Mossberg 500 extended mag 12ga pistol grip for about 290 bucks. With the short strap on the forearm for control, it might be the winner. 10-4?

A .357 mag is always a better choice in my opinion. For one thing you don't have to shoot .357 mag ammo in it since it also shoots the .38 Special which gives you 2 different types of ammo it'll shoot if you ever need it. And as far as safety goes you'll never blow up a .357 mag using .38 Special ammo.
