This is a sad commentary of the way it is today.

Some one some time will just start shooting first at the police when pulled over and then there will be a war between police and every one else.

I retired over 20 years ago and we had people drive by shooting at us (law enforcement) in the 20 years that I was working.

    So what's new here?

    Nothing.

A couple Sundays ago, I watched one of our county's finest pull over 5 people within half an hour from a speed trap set up alongside the golf course.

Folks going maybe 5 - 10 MPH over the limit.

These same police departments no longer respond to property crime reports because they do not have the staff to do so.

Catching criminals doesn't pay anything and it's dangerous. It's much more profitable and a whole lot safer to pull over citizens that work for a living that are speeding in their cars.
