The War of Northern Aggression

As I sit here alone thinking about the incessant attacks on my southern heritage and the South Carolina woman that is supposedly related to Jefferson Davis, I better understand the divide that existed between the North and the South, families, and neighbors during The War of Northern Aggression.
It's not easy to go back a hundred and fifty plus years in order to better understand how the typical American person must have felt about the prospect of killing their own flesh and blood kin, or their neighbor in the heat of battle when the majority had a strong belief in loving their fellow man.
With these thoughts in mind, coupled with the incessant attacks against everything that I have ever believed in and everything that has to do with my southern heritage, including the discrimination against southerners and their children that comes with being a part of such a society, I can better relate with my forefathers as to why they would take up arms to protect their homes and their rights, not only against the invading enemy armies, but against one another as well. Call me what you will, but I will never be reconstructed to accept the beliefs and values of such a warped environment, nor the kind of people that support them. I have never been more ashamed of my fellow countrymen than I am at this moment. And that includes fellow southerners who have not done a thing one to speak out against such outrageous activities.

We are a nation of emotionally driven sheep. I have no ancestral connection to the South, as my kin were still in Europe at the time. I am deeply saddened, however, by the absolute denigration of a rebellion that was every bit as legitimate as that which occurred four score and five years previous. This emotionally-driven hate of all that was the Confederate States of the America condemns the U.S. to the goal of a completely ho-mogeneous society absent the diversity of thought and culture that has served us so well for so long.
The long standing goal of the two major political parties is to reduce the meaning of State borders to nothing.

The last war was fought in the south, this one will be fought in the north.

The "blame" for slavery firmly rests with the negro 'brothers' who captured and sold their own 'brothers' to the slave traders.
That is my opinion.
There is a vast Dark Cloud rising over America....I don't think anything can stop the apetite of the African Plague!...it will eat all white descendents until they are gone...White Cleansing!
Kimi, you hit it right on the head. Thank you. Oakie
There's plenty of tyrants but I'm afraid we're running low on patriots. That tree just might get cut down next time.
Having tossed out that little funny, I will now get serious. I grew up a Yankee in Cleveland, Ohio, and watched in horror as the blacks, and a Democratic majority tore that city to pieces. When I retired from the Navy, 45 years ago, I moved to Arkansas. For me, a disgusted Viet Nam vet with PTSD, it was the best choice I could have ever made.
The nightmare of what has happened due to poor leadership and wrong direction in education and justice systems. America is troubled. We need to correct the failures.
-Term limits for all politicians. 1 6 year office and done.
-All citizens must vote and prove they are citizens.
-Non citizens must leave the country
-Capital punishment for all murder, rape and child molestation convictions.
-Prisons will be turned into work camps.
-Judicial systems will be overhauled. Rules of law not lawyers.
-Wall Street cheats will have all possessions given to registerd charities.
Rant over![:o)]
Uncle Sam knows he holds the Aces and nothing will stop the Federal government.
The same states who attempted to secede last time due to the Federal government violating the constitution will do nothing this time.
Blame all or anything that you want but we are our own worst enemy, if you rule yourself out of that equation just consider yourself the leader of it than.
This is also the same shoving crap down the throats of Southern Whites that caused the rise of the Klan. I fear that even more midnight rides will occur in the future...[B)]

I thought Reconstruction was over a long time ago, but the South seems to be full of even more Carpetbaggers today then it did in the late 1860's...[V]

Could be The Avenging Angels...

Muslims had a share of the blame back then, also.

It should also be noted that none of the flags of the Confederacy were ever flown over a slave ship. But the good old American Flag flew over a whole lot of them.
MYTH - The Confederate Battle Flag was flown on slave ships.
FACT - NONE of the flags of the Confederacy or Southern Nation ever flew over a slave ship. Nor did the South own or operate any slaves ships. The English, the Dutch and the Portuguese brought slaves to this country, not the Southern Nation.
BUT, even more monumental, it is also very important to know and understand that Federal, Yankee, Union ships brought slaves to America! These ships were from the New England states, and their hypocrisy is atrocious.
These Federals were ones that ended up crying the loudest about slavery. But without their ships, many of the slaves would have never arrived here. They made countless fortunes on the delivery of slaves as well as the products made from raw materials such as cotton and tobacco in the South.
