Saved 70? a gallon on gas

Had 753 Kroger fuel points for September and today was the last day to use them. Wife drove her car and I followed in my truck. Paid $3.01 per gallon for 93 octane (recommended for her car)----33 total gallons and saved $22.00.

Does anyone else remember when he would have gotton cash back if he saved 70 cents a gallon?

Giant Eagle gives ten cents a gallon for every $50.00 You spend there.
I save it up so the last time I filled up,(24 gallons) it cost Me $35.00.

Safeway does something similar, for every 100.00 dollars spent you get 20 cents off per gallon.
They limit it to 25 gallons.
