Ruger GP100 .44 special holster

Soon I'll be picking up my new Ruger GP100 in .44 special. 3-inch barrel. I was told that any holster that fits a 3-inch GP100 will fit the .44 special model. Can anyone verify this? Has anyone tried or is currently using a good OWB holster specifically for the GP100 in .44 special?? Thanks.

I use a Don Hume JIT holster my gp100 it is simple and reasonably priced

It should work, the write-ups I have seen just indicate that the change is the unfluted cylinder. I DO NOT have first hand experience though.

My GP100 sits in a Safari land holster made for a Trooper MKIII.

There's a review of this revolver in the current (March) issue of "Guns" magazine, by Massad Ayoob, but no mention of holsters.
