Is 40. a brick for Aguila Super Extra (no tax and no shipping) a good deal?
I have never shot this ammo but I have heard that it was a pretty decent ammo.

    guns magazine sent an editor into mexico to the aguila plant ..and ran some of their ammo..good reviews and i have a lot of the supmax/hivel 22lr hp 30gr...1750 fps....don't like to shoot this in alloy frames...the older man who had the factory died and a younger took it over and decided they weren't charging enuff to the gringos...most distributors cancelled out...some solid point starting to show back up here...price at 8cts seems ok

    Super or sub-sonic? Aguila calls both "Super Extra". I can't say about the HV but the sub-sonic is the most accurate 22lr ammo I've shot for a while. I bought a full case(5K rounds) for $390 no tax & free shipping last spring so $4/box is not out of line.

    the supmax/hivel hp really blasts armidillo...SPLAT...have rechambered several of the first model savage cub single shot 22lr wood stock to 22 magnum and scoped..open action is long enuff to chamber...ergo front/ back safety...easy short little rifle to carry in a small pickup or tractor cab.....
