I don't know what's going on, but I have said a prayer for you.
I appreciate Marc's candor, but I don't mind letting any of my GB friends know what happened. My wife of 23 years, and the reason I woke up everyday, shot herself in the head on Sept.7th. She had battled prescription pills and alcohol for years. She hadn't had a very good life before me so I thought if I loved her more than life she would be okay. I really over estimated my abilities. Janice loved her family more than life. She loved me more than life. This was sober Janice. Drunk Janice was probably the meanest person I had ever dealt with. These two Janices had NOTHING in common! They didn't even know each other. Every morning began with a smile, and her telling me how much she loved me. She never remembered the drunk Janice from the night before.
Her suicide was done with NO fore thought! She walked into our bedroom, locked the door, went to her bedside table, took out her favorite pistol and shot herself. She didn't take even one second to think how much she was going to hurt so many of us.
You strangers on GB will never know how much it means to me to receive all our compassion. You expect the symphony from family, but the caring the GB family has shown means so much more!
I apologize for using the word "strangers." You guys are much more than that. God bless all of you! Doug Gilmore
And Very sorry for Your Loss,.....
Rick
We are here if you need us. One day at a time with those you love to help you.
Almighty God...
May your hand protect and help our friend Partisan in these times of trial and tribulation.
We know not what torments him, but we do care for him and desire that he become whole.
May your divine guidance, Lead him... Direct him... Keep him safe.
In this prayer, I dearly ask that your will be done. Amen
