What a piece of garbage that is. I opened a bank account with them for faster transfers and generally easier access to funds. They put my initial deposit on hold for TWO(!!!!!) weeks. Good thing I've been burned this way before and only put the minimum required. Do other brokerages do the same thing?

Granted, I have not put any funds in recently, but when I did, I had almost immediate access to them. I use Scottrade.

Scottrade is good for its purpose. Unfortunately, I have no choice as my employer chooses to use e*trade, otherwise I'd probably go some place else.

Anyhow, I am just saying, e*trade sucks, so if anyone has a choice -- steer clear of it.

    I have never used Etrade.
I started with Ameritrade,.........went to Datek, and then of course Datek was bought out by Ameritrade!
Now Ameritrade is combined with TDWaterhouse,............viola!
    TD Ameritrade.
    Works good for me![;)]
