bad stuff at work

The other post I put up about the state chemist who fudged all sorts of drug test results got me thinking. If you read a newspaper regularly, you come across people misbehaving / doing wrong at work. Seems to happen all the time. I'm thinking of my years working and I remember one guy at UPS who came to work drunk a good bit of the time--oddly enough it did not seem to affect his performance and he seemed to work pretty hard--one guy at a butcher shop I worked at who would often go from handling raw chicken to cutting lunch meat without changing gloves or washing his hands--how nobody ever got sick I do not know--and when I worked construction one summer I saw some of the fire alarm sprinkler system guys show up to work stinking drunk and then continue to work on the job.
Now that's over close to 30 years of working part-time and full-time. By and large, I'd say 95% of the time people I've been around have worked hard and taken things seriously. Still, you do see some foul-ups. And, I would say that for all the bad behavior I've seen by the rank and file I've seen an equal if not greater amount by the bosses.
Anybody got any good stories about at-work incompetence or bad behavior?

My boss insisted on replacing my perfectly good computer with a newer one that had been briefly used by another office. But, it ran real slow, so I had the computer tech look at it; he couldn't find the problem, so he ordered another (lightly used) one. The 2nd & 3rd ones were bad, too. So, I sent an email to my director, requesting a "really new" one. He complained to the tech director, who ordered an investigation. Turns out one of the techs was stealing the chips out of every computer that passed through the tech dept, & replacing them with small ones. Everyone suddenly clammed up, & I was given a good computer & told to keep quiet. I'm guessing they figured out who did it, but didn't want to fire/prosecute him.

Amazingly, I witnessed very few serious injuries.
We had a small HVAC contractor around here years ago.
He specialized in doing work for bars![:D]
The guy would trade out work for booze, and WOW,....if you ever ran into him at a supply house, he reeked no matter the time of day.
He made the news here when his wife filed for divorce.
Without going into details, there was no need for a divorce any longer, nor does he drink anymore.[xx(]
